PESCO Service Territory After the 2025 Bifurcation
Since May 2025, PESCO’s service area no longer includes the Hazara division. NEPRA granted a new distribution licence to Hazara Electric Supply Company (HAZECO), which now covers Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Battagram, Torghar, Upper and Lower Kohistan, and Kolai Pallas. If your property is in any of these Hazara districts, your DISCO is now HAZECO, not PESCO.
PESCO’s current service territory covers KPK districts including:
- Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, Swabi
- Swat, Malakand, Dir (Upper and Lower), Chitral
- Bannu, Lakki Marwat, North Waziristan, South Waziristan
- Dera Ismail Khan, Tank
- Kohat, Karak, Hangu
How to Confirm Your DISCO in KPK
If you are unsure whether your area falls under PESCO or HAZECO, check the DISCO name printed at the top of your latest electricity bill. Consumers who previously received PESCO bills in Hazara districts will now receive HAZECO bills from the 2025 billing cycle onwards.
